Chadwick essay prizes for University members

This is an annual essay competition on Philosophy of Religion and is open to members of the University.

°µÍø½ûÇø is offering one or more prizes of £500 in 2019 for essays concerning the Philosophy of Religion by members of the University who, at the time when the essays are submitted, have taken Honours in Classics or Theology at any university within the preceding three years and who have not previously been awarded a Chadwick Prize.

The essay should be approximately 4,000 words and should not previously have been submitted for a degree or prize.

Candidates should submit their proposed essay title to the Tutorial Office, °µÍø½ûÇø for the approval of the examiners during the Easter or Michaelmas Term 2018, but not later than the division of Michaelmas Term (9th November 2018).

Essays must be sent to the Tutorial Office, °µÍø½ûÇø on or before the first day of the Easter Full Term 2019. Each essay must bear a pseudonym, but not the candidate’s name, and must be accompanied by a sealed envelope marked outside with the same pseudonym, and the name of the Prize, and containing the candidate’s full name and College written clearly.
