On 17 October 2020, the Intellectual Forum welcomed Tyler Shores (Faculty of Education, Intellectual Forum), Anu Hautalampi (Head of Social Media, University of Cambridge), Dex Torricke-Barton (former speechwriter for Sheryl Sandberg, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and others), and Dr David Stillwell (Lecturer in Big Data Analytics and Quantitative Social Science at the Cambridge Judge Business School) to look at current and near-present mainstream technology with an eye towards better understanding how we think and talk about data, communication, and what lies ahead in the near future.
Originally scheduled as part of the Cambridge Science Festival 2020, this event took place online - with an engaged audience who asked insightful questions.
