Make your own medieval medical charms
On Sunday 3rd April 2022, as part of the Cambridge Festival 2022, Intellectual Forum Senior Research Associate Dr Kat Hindley guided attendees as they made Middle Ages-inspired charms, combining recipes copied in Medieval England with items readily available in the home.
In the Middle Ages, medical treatment could include powerful charms: spoken or written words believed to protect or heal a patient.
