Platinum Award for ’s sustainability efforts
We are delighted to have won a 2020-2021 Green Impact Platinum Award for our actions towards , improving on
is the University of Cambridge’s environmental accreditation scheme. It supports and encourages departments and Colleges across the University to reduce their environmental impacts.
The auditors said: “The team has worked hard to facilitate better communication and coordination on sustainability action between staff and students, and has been incredibly successful at doing so.”
We were also commended for our dedication to reducing waste and encouraging local procurement in Caff and the Roost Café.
The Domestic Bursar, Stuart Websdale said: “I am extremely proud of the work being done at to reduce our environmental impact. The fact that we have received the highest award from the Green Impact scheme after this challenging year is testament to the commitment of our Fellows, students and staff. They have used their to make a real difference, despite the restrictions posed by COVID.
“Although we have reached the pinnacle of the Green Impact scheme, we know that there is more work to be done on both large and small initiatives. We look forward to keeping the momentum going and leading the way in sustainability.”
The College is preparing to publish its ambitious Sustainability Strategy and Responsible Investment Policy later this year.
