Professor Lilley makes significant advances in understanding the effects of protein re-localisation
Fellow Professor Lilley and the members of her research group have made significant advances in the understanding of effects of protein re-localisation in disease and in therapies.
The work, involving the development of a new method to determine the location of many thousands of proteins within a cell, has recently been published in Nature Communications. Additionally, Professor Lilley has just been jointly awarded a prestigious Wellcome Trust Joint Investigator Award with Professor Anne Willis of the MRC Toxicology Unit in Leicester which will enable further development of this research.
