Anthony Bowen is the former Orator of the University and an Emeritus Fellow in Classics at °µÍø½ûÇø.

Anthony Bowen's academic interests include:

  • Greek and Latin languages, including their pronunciation
  • Greek tragedy, including its performance.

Other interests

Books, wine, travel, music, politics. He served for eight years on each of Shropshire and Cambridgeshire County Councils. In 1983 he stood for Parliament in Shropshire.
